Axiom Staffing Group is seeking a skilled and dependable Welder to join our manufacturing team in Jacksonville, FL. This role is responsible for fabricating and welding metal components used in generator enclosures, fuel systems and power sources. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced production environment and be committed to producing high-quality workmanship while maintaining safety standards. 

Location: Jacksonville, FL
Pay: $18.00 – $23.00/hour (based on experience)

Shift: 5:00am to 1:30am (OT required - (Willing to work till 330pm, Occasional Saturdays - 55hr weeks at times)

Position Overview

We are seeking skilled manufacturing associates with experience in metal fabrication, machine operation, and welding. Candidates will operate specialized equipment while performing MIG/TIG welding to support production of custom industrial products.

Key Responsibilities

Press Brake Operator / Welder

• Set up and operate press brake machinery to bend and form metal components
• Interpret blueprints and measurements to ensure accurate fabrication
• Perform MIG/TIG welding on formed parts
• Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy

Thread Machine Operator / Welder

• Operate threading machines to cut and thread metal piping/materials
• Ensure proper sizing, alignment, and tolerance standards
• Perform welding on threaded components as needed
• Maintain production efficiency and quality standards

Plasma Table Operator / Welder

• Operate CNC plasma cutting tables to cut metal parts to specification
• Upload and adjust cutting programs as needed
• Grind, prep, and weld cut components
• Monitor machine performance and material usage

General Duties (All Roles)

• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and schematics
• Perform MIG and/or TIG welding on steel and aluminum components
• Use measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, gauges)
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Follow all safety and PPE requirements
• Meet daily production goals and quality standards

Qualifications

• Previous experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or welding required
• Experience with press brake, threading machines, or plasma tables preferred
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods

Preferred Experience

• Structural or industrial welding
• Experience working with fuel tanks, enclosures, or heavy metal fabrication
• CNC or machine programming experience (for plasma operators)

• PPE required at all times
