Axiom Staffing is seeking motivated and reliable individuals for a Warehouse Associate position within a local outlet/distribution center in Hanover, PA.

Job Summary

The Order Picker is responsible for physically pulling customer orders from inventory to ensure accurate delivery of products. The Order Picker is also responsible for moving picked material to the delivery staging area in a manner that meets company standards for accuracy, productivity, safety and security. The Order Picker is responsible for the completeness and correctness of all orders filled.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Efficiently picks customer orders for shipment manually or with the use of material handling equipment (forklift, high lift, pallet jack, etc.) ensuring that the correct quantity, number, size, and type of product is pulled

• Loads pallets per company standards

• Accurately labels all orders as requested

• Properly prepares items for delivery, including stretch wrapping pallets, packing smaller trim items into boxes, etc., ensuring that all items are packed to minimize damage during transit

• Stages items correctly for loading

• Ensures that orders are accurately pulled and free of damage by double checking all pick tickets with materials pulled

• Helps maintain and conduct physical inventory as requested and/or required

• Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly warehouse

• Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety and adheres to all company safety procedures and policies.

• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School education (or equivalent)

• Read and count accurately

• Able to do simple math

• Able to safely operate a forklift (must complete forklift training program) and other material handling equipment

• Ability to listen and follow instructions

• Attention to detail is a must

Physical Demands and Abilities

• Regularly required to use hands to lift/handle materials including reaching with hands and arms

• Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-75 lbs., occasionally move objects (including sliding, pushing/pulling) objects that weigh more than 100 lbs.

• Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl

• Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance
