Storeroom Associate - 1st Shift

Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Exercise and promote safety
Operate the power walk behind lift truck
Operate the portable bander
Operate fork lift
Maintain exemplary attendance
Work independently to prioritize and complete work
Understand weight distribution for palletization
Use tape measure accurately, both SAE and Metric
Understand the proper disposal of potentially hazardous waste
Able to operate a PC and PC-based applications to perform work
Effectively use the eMaint database
Query part numbers and locations in system
Correspond and communicate effectively
Qualify to operate, and maintain qualification to operate UAC fleet vehicles
Utilize eMaint to check-out and return parts to inventory in accordance to work order
Perform cycle counts as directed; all on-hand quantities must be verified at each issue and communicate needed corrections management
Bar code inventory utilizing eMaint
Deliver kitted and requested issues to both Canton and Ball Ground at designated drop-off locations
Ensure all storeroom equipment and tools are kept in good working condition
Fulfill expediting requests whenever reasonably possible
Adhere to “equipment down” procedure
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Education: HS Diploma or GED
Certifications Required: Confined spaces certification; Crane certification; Fall protection certification; Forklift certification; Lock-out/Tag-out certification; Pallet jack certification
Qualify for operation of UAC fleet vehicles (possess and maintain a valid drivers license and clean driving record)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Self-motivated
Communication Skills: Ability to effectively listen and communicate ideas and thoughts to others; able to assimilate ideas originated by others
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions and decimals
Reasoning Skills: Ability to carry out and communicate written and/or oral instructions
Physical Abilities: Regularly required to stand, walk and use hands; must be able to lift 50 pounds at any time during his/her shift; the physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job; reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
Working Conditions
Primarily 10hr shifts Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday 6am-4pm
Schedule: 1st shift - Train M-F
