Spanish Bilingual Forklift Driver
$18.00/hour
1st shift
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious individual to join our team as a Bilingual (English and Spanish) Forklift Operator. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, stack, and organize materials in our warehouse or distribution facility.
Responsibilities:
1. Safely operate a forklift to move materials to and from storage areas, loading docks, and production areas, following all safety protocols and procedures.
2. Load and unload materials from trucks, pallets, racks, and shelves, ensuring proper handling and secure placement.
3. Inspect forklift equipment before use, performing routine maintenance checks and reporting any defects or issues to the supervisor.
4. Maintain accurate inventory records by recording material movements and transactions in the company's database or inventory management system.
5. Follow established storage and stacking procedures to maximize space utilization and minimize damage to materials.
6. Assist with inventory counts and audits as needed, reconciling discrepancies and ensuring inventory accuracy.
7. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors in both English and/or Spanish to coordinate work activities, prioritize tasks, and address any concerns.
9. Support warehouse operations by performing additional duties such as picking orders, packing shipments, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Strong attention to detail and a focus on safety, with the ability to operate a forklift in a fast-paced and sometimes congested work environment.
Physical strength and stamina to perform repetitive tasks, including lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals in both English and Spanish.
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and overtime as required.
Demonstrated reliability and punctuality, with a strong work ethic and a commitment to teamwork.
