Setup Mechanic

1st, 2nd and 3rd Shifts

McDonough, GA

Axiom Staffing Group – Locust Grove Branch is seeking experienced Setup Mechanics to add to the team!

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Operate, Set up, troubleshoot, and perform preventative maintenance on:

· GN Contact Heat Thermoforming Machines

· Lyle and Sencorp Preheat Thermoforming Machines

· Support equipment (including, but not limited to: case tapers, Big Joe Lifts, Yushin stackers)

Stockroom, Inventory, and Administrative work

*This job occasionally requires changing molds and heaters where items weighing 150-300 lbs. are pulled from a shelf onto a " Big Joe" moving machine. Storage heights are from 12 inches above floor level to five feet height.*

 High school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience

· Reaching, climbing, kneeling, squatting, and bending.

· Minimum 3-month experience in a related field, quality inspection or manufacturing environment

· Strong proficiency in MS Suite (Word, Excel, Access), experience in data acquisition preferred

· Read micrometers and calipers, digital force gauge, protractors, pressure gauges, temperature thermocouples

· Be proficient in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division and calculating decimals and fractions. Understand and work with metric system. Skillfully use a torque wrench and differentiate between "inch lbs. and foot lbs.

· Apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving a variety of situations.
