Axiom is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist for a manufacturer of telescopic antenna masts in Winchester, VA. This is a direct hire position.

Job duties and responsibilities for the Quality Assurance Specialist position include but are not limited to the following:

• Receiving of parts and raw materials
• Hand assembly and inspection, using tools
• Assist the Quality Assurance Manager to maintain and manage the company Quality Management System (QMS)
• Perform incoming material, in-process and finishing good inspections
• Assist source inspections and vendor audits
• Communicate with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements for external suppliers
• Ensure procedures are properly understood and followed

Requirements for consideration for the Quality Assurance Specialist position include the following:

• Ability to track and control all documents and records pertaining to the QMS
• Ability to develop assembly routers and instructions
• Ability to write technical and management system reports
• Ability to monitor performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures to develop and manage an ISO certified quality management system
• Engineering degree preferred, but experience in the field is acceptable
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and Power Point
• Understanding of ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 9001:2015
• Self Starter, motivated
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Detail oriented, organized
