Purchasing Clerk
Job Description
Axiom Staffing is seeking a Purchasing Clerk at a local manufacturing company in Hanover, PA.
This is a temp to hire position.
Basic Duties:
- Review open purchase requisitions and issue orders for smaller purchases daily. Send to supplier.
- Complete small negotiations of pricing and delivery for orders.
- Provide pre-assigned order numbers and po’s for rush orders when required.
- Review open order and confirmation status of orders to confirm receipt of the order and material by the plant
- Assist in resolving invoice / accounting issues and receiving issues
- Assist the buyer in completing cost savings and documentation of savings and reporting.
- General assistance to office and plant requesters with replies to emails and status of pr’s and pending approvals
- Maintain supplier contact and email listings.
- Discuss supplier payment terms and quotes
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: General office, shop and machine tool noise, dirt, grease, heat and fumes from the operation of machines and equipment infrequently. Normal working position is sitting, standing and walking through out the plant, reaching with hands and arms, climbing stairs infrequently, talk, hear. Occasionally will lift and or move up to 25 lbs during company visits.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or equivalent experience.
WORKING HOURS:
Monday-Friday 6am-2pm core hours + OT
