Axiom Staffing is seeking Production Supervisors on 2nd and 3rd at a local production company. 

POSITION SUMMARY

Production Supervisor oversees the production staff and equipment on the production line, ensure that the production goals and quality standards are being met, and implement company policies.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Direct and coordinate, through subordinates, the activities of production line from the processing to the packaging departments
• Apply the knowledge of production methods in the processes, machines and equipment, plant layout, and production capacities of each department or work centers
• Plan production line operations, establish priorities and sequences for manufacturing products, utilizing knowledge or production processes and methods, machine and equipment capabilities, and human resource requirements
• Prepare operation schedules for each position on the production line
• Coordinate manufacturing activities to ensure production (standard labor and output set up in the system) and quality of products meets specifications
• Review production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problem on the production line to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays
• Inspect machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization
• Develop or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards
• Develop process specifications for all products that are produced on the production line
• Meet required budgetary numbers in the labor, ingredient and waste areas
• Initiate personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, discharges or disciplinary measures
• Maintain confidential information to include rates of pay, employee issues, discussions at management operations meetings.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous supervisory experience required

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.  The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to ten (10) pounds and may infrequently lift and / or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds. Specific vision abilities required of this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and peripheral vision.
