Axiom Staffing is actively hiring for a Material Handler for a production facility in Alpharetta, GA! 

Pay: $17.00/hr

Shift: 8am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday

Job type: Contract to hire 

Responsibilities:

• Operate forklift to move material from multi-level pallet racks to production areas
• Read production schedule and work orders to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
• Load, unload, and stage products and materials
• Perform Quality Control Checks on certain raw materials prior to staging in the production area
• Load and unload product to and from delivery vehicles and designated storage areas
• Prepare outgoing shipments by using protective material such as pallet stretch-wrapping, pallet banding, edge protectors, and other protective material
• Assist in the disposal of waste material created by the production process 
• Stacks skids or pallets in designated areas
• Operate Core Cutting, Core Notching, and Rewinding Machines
• Manually re-work Product to meet on-time delivery targets
• Responsible for Inventory Control and Cycle Count of critical safety stock items
• Keep Production warehouse area clean and tidy
• Organize raw materials within the warehouse storage areas in a way that benefits the production teams
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience working in a warehouse environment
• Ability to operate stand-up and sit-down forklift
• Ability to repeatedly lift 20-30 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
• Push utility carts up to 60 pounds
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time, as well as walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts
• Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Must have a good command of the English language
• Must possess positive interpersonal skills to perform effectively in a team environment
• Must possess ability to work at a rapid pace.
• Ability to understand, follow, and apply operational and technical instruction, written and verbal 
• Ability to solve basic math (addition/subtraction/multiplication/division)
