Job Title: Truck Jockey / Forklift Driver

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable, safety-focused Truck Jockey / Forklift Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently moving trailers in the yard, supporting shipping and receiving operations, and handling materials using a forklift. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in keeping operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely move, spot, and organize trailers within the yard.

• Perform daily inspections of yard tractors and equipment.

• Load, unload, and transport materials using a forklift (counterbalance, propane, electric, etc.).

• Support shipping and receiving with trailer placement and material movement.

• Maintain accurate records and communicate trailer locations to dispatch or warehouse teams.

• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).

• Experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or yard environment.

• Previous truck jockey/yard switcher experience is an asset.

• Strong awareness of safety and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.
