Job Description
Axiom Staffing is currently seeking to hire a Maintenance Technician, to join a plant team in Inwood, WV (USA):
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for managing mechanical reliability for the plant. Supports the Plant Manager with all aspects of mechanical maintenance.
Key Tasks & Activities...

Conduct maintenance, Changeover, repair, and troubleshoot, Husky hot runners and molds, including changeovers on Husky PET injection molding machinery, Conair dryers, vacuum pumps, PET materials, Sipa ISBM machinery and Piovan dryers, blenders, and chillers.

Handle electrical systems ranging from 24V to 480V.

Support equipment installation, wiring, and programming to meet specifications.

Identify and resolve complex mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic issues on associated equipment.

Complete preventive maintenance tasks based on schedules.

Manage machine processing and recipe management.

Respond promptly to maintenance requests, completing required reports.

Maintain plant equipment for maximum efficiency.

Coordinate with vendors and contractors, ordering spare parts and services as needed.

Implement operational improvements to reduce spoilage, downtime, and increase line speeds.

Train others in equipment operation and safe product production.

Adhere to safety policies, maintain cleanliness, and follow GMP and Global Food Safety practices.

Update SAP PM entries and organize spare parts inventory as needed.

Complete special projects and duties assigned by manager.

Available for day/night shifts, either 8-hour shifts Monday to Friday or 12-hour rotation shifts.
Who we are looking for...
Background and Experience
-
Minimum High School Diploma (or GED/High School Certification); prefer Technical School Certification
-
3-5 years relevant manufacturing experience in plastics technology or a similar technical area

Previous leadership/supervisory experience preferred
Technical Skills
-
Strong mechanical maintenance experience and strong knowledge hand and power tools

Demonstrated understanding of mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems

Good working knowledge of computer systems, including MS Office and SAP
Interpersonal Skills
-
Ability to clearly communicate technical system issues
-
Good “hands on” working approach

Able to work independently, identify problems and improve
-
Ability to work in a fast pace environment and work well under pressure
-
Ability to prioritize multiple projects and complete in a timely manner with limited supervision
