Shipping Coordinator

Axiom's client is currently looking for an experienced Shipping Coordinator at our Hanover

production facility to coordinate daily shipping operations. We are seeking a motivated candidate

who will ensure completed customer orders are delivered in a timely manner, drive a smooth running

shipping process and maintain lines of communication between the customer, sales and operations.

We are a local manufacturer of high quality aluminum furniture around the world and need a strong

team member with excellent work ethics to undertake this important role at our company.

Responsibilities:

• Make shipment arrangements with freight forwarders and sending shipping notifications to

our customers, staying involved until the customer has received their shipment.

• Prepare and manage shipping documents for domestic and international shipments such as

packing slips, bill of lading etc.

• Communicate with sales and credit to release shipments and provide shipping instructions to

the operation.

• Audit items shipping for the day, packaging and delivery instructions to ensure the accuracy

of the deliveries.

• Act as the daily point of contact between the production and sales teams.
• Use business system to get daily production reports, monitor open orders in production and

 follow up order status to communicate these to the sales/customer service.

• Process in bound and out bound sample unit requests.
•  Support customers in the claims process where necessary.
• Provide timely responses to sales/customer in regards to tracking information, ETA of

 shipment, freight quotations and status of order.

•  Support Customer Service Team with customer assistance as needed including freight

 quotes, order processing, payments, etc.

• Negotiate with the freight forwarders for best transport rates and services.

Qualifications:

Proven experience and solid knowledge of logistics.

 High school diploma, general education degree or equivalent.

Three or more years of logistics experience including knowledge of domestic and

international shipping

 Ability to operate Microsoft Office and user experience of manufacturing business systems.

 Excellent communication skills- verbal, written & listening

Ability to use analytical thinking/techniques to solve problems.

Organized, self-motivated, high attention to detail, and quick learner

Good time management skills

An excellent team player.
