Axiom Staffing is hiring for a Logistics Assistant for a manufacturer in Alpharetta, GA!

Pay: $18/hr

Shift: 5:45am-3:30pm Monday-Thursday + 5:45am-2:30pm Friday

Location: Alpharetta, GA 

As a Logistics Assistant your primary responsibility will be to assist with coordinating package deliveries. The logistics assistant will be responsible for receiving and unpacking. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• To ensure success as a logistics assistant, you should pay close attention to the movement of stock to avoid losses. Ultimately, a top-notch logistics assistant will be able to memorize vast amounts of information for later use.

• Logistics Assistant Responsibilities:
• Receiving and checking deliveries to ensure that the correct amount and type of stock is delivered.
• Signing delivery notes upon receipt of shipments.
• Heeding notes about appropriate procedures for handling stock, particularly when fragile.
• Packing/unpacking items and arranging these on shelves, if needed.
• Preparing customer orders by gathering and loading stock.
• Ensuring that the facility remains clean, sanitary, and well-organized.
• Reporting all breakages and spills.
• Offering assistance to other staff in the department during lulls in your day.

Required Skills & Abilities:            

• Excellent hand-eye coordination in relation to the overall expectation of dietary supplement bottles being safely and expediently processed.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining quality standards.
• Basic mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in logistics.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
• Manual dexterity and coordination to handle small components and operate machinery controls.
• Lift and move boxes, materials, and equipment weighing up to [weight limit] pounds.
• Visual acuity to inspect labels and ensure proper placement and alignment.
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced production environment, adapting to changing priorities and maintaining high levels of accuracy.
• Comfortable working with cleaning agents and sanitizing solutions as part of equipment maintenance and sanitation procedures.
• Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
