Axiom Staffing is recruiting for a high-volume metal fabrication facility with openings for multi-skilled individuals with prior experience.

We are a high-volume metal fabrication facility with openings for multi-skilled individuals with prior experience. We offer 1st shift, 5:30am - 3:30pm, Monday - Thursday, and (if approved by the Supervisor) OT on Friday from 5:30am - 10:30am.

MIG welding on steel/aluminum is required. TIG experience needed. Candidate will be responsible for weld preparation, welding and weld finishing on various gauges of metal according to mechanical drawings, specifications or other forms of instruction. 

Essential Functions:

•    Interpret drawings and specifications, including weld requirement symbology

•    Perform light and heavy arc and gas welding on items such as frames, racks, metal casings, trucks, skids, low pressure tanks, welding and brazing of dies, etc. using welding machines and acetylene welding equipment

•    Perform grinding operations using manual and power tools

•    Maintain welding equipment through regular welding equipment maintenance

•    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

o    Ability to understand drawings and specifications

o    Knowledge and experience working with various welding and finishing equipment

o    Ability to work with a wide range of gauges of metal

o    Work in cooperation with other welders and team members

Leadership Qualities:

•    Being able to communicate with the team and Plant Manager

•    Filter questions and issues within the team

•    Working with the students in our Co-Op Program

•    Checking on parts/jobs to make sure they are done with accuracy

Job Type: Full-time

Experience: 10+ years (Preferred)

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour (based on experience)

Ability to commute/relocate: York, PA 17404 (Required) 

Experience: 2 - 5 years (Preferred)
