Job Description
Axiom is recruiting for a position in York for a Lead Assembler.
We are a high-volume metal fabrication facility with openings for multi-skilled individuals with prior experience. Positions are 1st shift, 5:30am-3:30pm, Monday through Thursday, with Friday OT (if needed) from 5:30am-10:30am.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Familiarity with blueprints
- Ability to select proper tooling and hold parts to within close tolerances.
- Troubleshoot and perform basic mechanical maintenance.
- Familiarity using essential fabrication hand tools (angle grinders, squares, scales, calipers)
- Detail oriented
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to quality.
Leadership Qualities:
- Being able to communicate with the team and Plant Manager
- Filter questions and issues within the team
- Working with the students in our Co-Op Program
- Checking on parts/jobs to make sure they are done with accuracy
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prior experience is a plus.
- Work in cooperation with other fabricators and team members.
- Measurement, mathematical and conversion skills.
- Ability to work overtime when needed.
- Must be able to stand for 10 hours per day and lift at least 50 pounds (partner lifting for safety reasons)
