Job Description
Job Title: Industrial Painters, Industrial Welders, Industrial Electricians, and Industrial Fitters
Company Overview:
A large manufacturing company specializing in engineering and manufacturing solutions within the energy sector, with facilities located in North Jacksonville and West Jacksonville.
Locations:
- North Jacksonville
- West Jacksonville (Cecil)
Pay Rates:
- Industrial Painter or 1st Class Painter: $22 - $25/hr.
- Insulated Metal Panel Installer (IMP): $26 - $29/hr.
- Mechanical Fitter / Structural Fitter / 1st Class Fitter: $26 - $30/hr.
- Industrial Welder or 1st Class Welder: $25 - 28/hr.
- Industrial Electrician or 1st Class Electrician: $26 - 28/hr.
Shifts:
- 1st Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- 2nd Shift: Monday to Thursday, 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.
- Occasional evening and weekend work as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
For Industrial Painters:
- Must of experience operating and maintaining spray painting and sandblasting equipment.
- Apply industrial coatings safely, following product data and safety guidelines.
- Monitor humidity and temperature to ensure quality results.
- Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts.
- Prepare for ISO 9001 and other audits.
For Insulated Metal Panel Installers:
- Interpret job specifications and blueprints, ensuring precision in measurements and fit.
- Cut, prep, fit, and tack IMPs and related materials to meet job specifications.
- Operate overhead cranes and forklifts, adhering to safe rigging practices.
- Document quality reporting methods per SEA Quality Standards.
- Prepare for ISO 9001 and other audits.
For Mechanical and Structural Fitters:
- Read blueprints and job specifications for mechanical and structural installation.
- Knowledge of threading, grinding, welding, brazing, rigging, plasma cutting, gas arc cutting.
- Mechanical Fitter: 2-5 years related experience or training.
- Structural Fitter: 5+ years related experience, 6+ years in industrial structural fitting preferred. Tack Welding Ability
- Some vocational technical training desired.
For Electricians:
- Commercial or industrial experience required. Electrical installation required. Journeyman Electrician preferred. 1st Class and 2nd Class Electricians preferred
- Knowledge concerning LVMCC, HVMCC, transformers
- National Electrical Code understanding
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2-5 years of experience for Mechanical Fitters; 5+ years for Structural Fitters; 5+ years for Industrial Painters preferred.
- Vocational technical training is a plus, and certifications (NACE, SSPC) are ideal for Painters.
Work Environment:
Fabrication and manufacturing facility with exposure to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, loud noises, and vibration. Must be physically and medically qualified to wear required PPE per OSHA standards. 5+ years industrial/commercial experience for Electricians.
