Axiom Staffing is currently seeking two 1st shift Electromechanical Technician for a client in Abbottstown, PA.

We are looking for one skilled and one entry level candidate that has recently went to tech school or college majoring in this field.

Available Shift:  7:00am – 3:30pm ET, Monday – Friday

Status:  Full time  

PLC programing/ladder logic side

Well-equipped candidates will be highly proficient at reading and creating electrical schematics for a broad range of industrial applications.  He or she should exhibit a basic understanding digital electronics, logic circuits and PLCs.  This multifaceted role requires an aptitude for operating various meters and testing equipment for the purpose of troubleshooting and component validation. 

Candidate should be mechanically inclined and able to assist with the disassembly of machine components for assessment, repair and/or replacement.  Travel to customer locations for the purpose of troubleshooting machine errors and/or machine installation will be occasionally required.  Candidate should be able to compile parts lists and order appropriate components from job specific Bill of Materials.  He or she will participate in wiring electrical enclosures from start to finish while aiding in and/or leading in PLC programming.  Candidate will have the opportunity to work with ladder logic within a wide array of brands including Omron, Allen Bradley and Unitronics.             

Candidate must exhibit strong communication skills being able to communicate effectively with all levels of leadership and peers.  Candidate must have a passion for their craft with a superior focus on quality and providing an exceptional product to our customers.  They should be open to learn and flexible to change while possessing a high attention to detail.  He or she must have strong time management skills and be able to work independently while possessing critical thinking skills for complex problem solving.     

 Education:  Electromechanical Certification highly preferred.  Certifications in Electrical, and/or Electronic Engineering Technology is also beneficial.
