Electro/Mechanical Technician
Pay Rate: $30.00 - $35.00 / hour Location: Winchester, VA Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM); rotates days to nights and nights to days every 4 months. Overtime and on-call responsibilities as needed.
Axiom Staffing Group is hiring an experienced and self-motivated Electro-Mechanical Technician on behalf of a premier manufacturing client at their facility in Winchester, VA. This role provides critical support for high-speed production operations by performing mechanical and electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative work on a wide range of industrial equipment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide mechanical and electrical maintenance on printing, drying, chill systems, and finishing equipment.

Perform preventative and proactive diagnostic inspections on production machinery, including shafted and non-shafted systems.

Troubleshoot and repair machinery and auxiliary systems such as conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, fans, and blowers.

Work safely with AC/DC motors, drives, and control systems up to 480 VAC.

Utilize electrical and pneumatic schematics to diagnose and repair equipment issues.

Install, program, and troubleshoot PLC-controlled, servo, variable frequency drives (VFD), and relay-based equipment.

Maintain clear documentation for equipment calibration, settings, repairs, and tolerances.

Follow all safety protocols, SOPs, and work orders while maintaining a clean, organized work environment.

Communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and vendors while working independently or coordinating tasks.
Job Requirements:

2–4 years of industrial maintenance experience with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting on manufacturing equipment.

Proven experience in PLC programming of AC/DC Drives, Servo, and Variable Frequency Drives.

Ability to read and interpret electrical and pneumatic schematics.

Must provide your own basic set of tools.

Ability to diagnose production issues, determine corrective actions, and prevent recurrence through scheduled maintenance.

Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to company policies.

High School Diploma or GED.

Industrial Maintenance education, technical certifications, or Journeyman status is preferred but not required.

Prior experience or knowledge of high-speed printing operations is a plus.
