Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Customer Service Representative I, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring ultimate customer satisfaction and fostering lasting customer relationships. As a CSR I, you will proactively communicate with internal and external stakeholders, respond to customer inquiries, and provide exceptional service throughout the customer journey.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Proactively communicate with internal and external parties to exceed customer expectations.
  • Respond promptly and accurately to customer inquiries via telephone, email, or chat, ensuring thorough documentation.
  • Analyze customer requests, provide relevant information, and route requests to the appropriate person.
  • Demonstrate ownership of customer requests, ensuring follow-through, documentation, and resolution.
  • Assist in returns and replacements as needed.
  • Analyze transactions, correct records, and adjust errors.
  • Provide accurate information on pricing and availability of in-stock items.
  • Resolve customer questions related to orders and place orders where opportunities arise.
  • Maintain a 90% minimum average in customer service and sales area quality assurance reviews.
  • Stay current with product knowledge through training and education.
  • Effectively manage time, meet personal goals, and collaborate with the distribution team.
  • Report system or product inaccuracies promptly.
  • Follow company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year in a Customer Service function or related skill.
  • Customer-centric and Internet savvy.
  • Strong MS Office skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Restaurant supply/commercial food service experience.

Professional Skills:

  • Superior time-management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and stay focused on critical objectives.
  • Positive, can-do attitude.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, closely integrated team.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively on various ongoing projects.
  • Basic arithmetic skills (e.g., addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages).
  • Ability to concentrate for extended periods.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Maintain discretion with company information.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods.
  • Occasionally bend, reach, and stoop.
  • Ability to look at a computer screen for extended periods.
  • Read written instructions, reports, and documentation.
  • Occasionally lift, carry, and/or move up to 30 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required (close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus).
  • Ability to talk or hear frequently.
  • Light to moderate noise level in the work environment.
