Axiom Staffing Group has 2nd and 3rd shift Assembly Operator positions available for a manufacturing client in Winchester, VA! Please apply today for these Temp-to-Hire opportunities! 

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Assembly of small pieces by hand with machine support
• The safe and efficient operation of a wire weaving machine with responsibility for producing spirals that meet or exceed quality specifications, production schedules, labor standards, and minimize cost.
• Basic math, writing, and reading.
• Operate basic mechanical tools, cutting tools/dies, calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
• Read and interpret manufacturing orders and tags.
• Make simple machine adjustments as required to bring product within specifications.
• Assist set-up person as required.
• Perform other department functions such as deburring crimp, assembling, refilling/emptying sumps, and clean-up as required by production needs of the department.
• Complete daily portion of the white board form and other required documents as directed.
• Use of a computer terminal to record data and clock in and out of work
• 2nd and 3rd shift available
  • 2nd shift - Mon-Fri - 3:15pm-11:45pm 
  • 3rd shift - Mon-Fri - 9pm-6am 
• $18.50/hr
• Located in Winchester, VA

• Minimum 3 years of consecutive manufacturing experience
• Experience working with hands/small parts
• Excellent hand/eye coordination
• Basic math, writing, and reading skills
• Able to cross-train and learn other department functions
• Previous machine operating experience a plus but not required
• Previous wire weaving experience a plus
• Ability to withstand extreme temperatures
