Accounting Specialist

Monday-Friday

$18/hr-$20/hr per hour depending on experience.

Position Description:

The Accounting Specialist position is a full time, hourly position responsible for providing financial administrative and clerical services in regard to the maintenance and processing of accounts receivables, accounts payable, physical inventory counts and transactions, employee expense reimbursements, and general journal entries. 

Responsibilities:

· Routine Activities:

Accounts Receivable:

• Processing customer invoices.
• Processing incoming payments.
• Processing remote bank deposits.
• Notifying customers of insufficient payments or delinquencies, with follow up until collected or resolved.

Accounts Payable:

• Processing vendor invoices.
• Processing vendor payments.
• Responding to all vendor inquiries regarding invoice payment status and any other related inquires.
• Processing employee expense reimbursement

General Ledger:

• Providing monthly General Ledger & analysis reports and cost information to company departments.
• Resolving any account discrepancies by investigating documentation.
• Verifying certain general ledger accounts by reconciling statements and transactions with subledger or other detail, particularly credit card related and prepaid expenses.

Inventory:

• Performing monthly, onsite, physical inventory counts.
• Investigating and reconciling variance between book and physical counts.

Preparing work to be accomplished by gathering and sorting documents and related information. (either by travel to post office to pick up mail or via emails)

Providing other clerical support and reporting as necessary to meet the obligations of the accounting department
