Accounting Analyst
Job Description
Axiom is seeking an Accounting Analyst for a Direct Hire position at a Manufacturing company in Strasburg, VA. Job duties for the Accounting Analyst position include the following:
- Establish and maintain accounting policies and controls, and fiscal controls
- Prepare financial reports and safeguard the organization's assets
- Maintain accounting and financial records and reports, including general ledger, financial statements, regulatory, and management reports
- Processes all Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivables
- Ensure timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers
- Maintain accurate records and control reports
- Documentation of delinquent accounts, incomplete files, and credit risks
- Work with other departments including: Treasury, Purchasing, and Finance
- Drive standardization in payment terms and payment dates to support the corporate directive for managing cash
- Responsible for travel and expense policies for the company
- Other accounting duties as assigned

Job Requirements
Requirements for consideration for the Accounting Analyst position include the following:
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel a must
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Strong sense of urgency, ownership and dedication to responsibilities and projects/task assigned
- Experience with QAD or another ERP system is preferred, but not required
- Punctual and willing to work extra hours when required
