Inventory Control Specialist
Job Description
Axiom Staffing is currently seeking several Material Handlers for a plastic production company in Hanover, PA.
Position Summary:
The Inventory Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our
inventory management system. The Inventory Specialist works closely with the Shift Manager and Production
Schedule Coordinator to support Production. Utilizes the IQMS schedule to determine and execute inventory
moves to support the in-process production work orders. Pull and pre-stage materials and tools for
production and then transport finished goods and tools from the work cells. Coordinate movement and
placement of raw materials and finished orders with the Receiving/Shipping departments. The Inventory
Specialist will perform any additional tasks as assigned by the management team.
Open 1st Shifts:
Wed 12p-5pm /Thurs-Sat 5a-5p
Sun-Tues 5a-5pm, Wed 5a-12pm
Training is provided as long as you have stable work history and a background in Warehouse, Production or Manufacturing.
Job Requirements
6) Essential Job Functions:
Follow all established policies, procedures, and recognized practices
Utilize ERP system to input item information, including location movement and cycle counts
Stage product at workstations utilizing appropriate material handling equipment as needed
Ensure proper rotation of stock using FIFO. (First-In, First-Out)
Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks to identify discrepancies and ensure data
integrity.
Monitor inventory levels and report on stock shortages or excesses.
Work with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and streamline inventory control
processes.
Follow safety procedures and guidelines when operating the forklift
Work with team members to meet established goals.
Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency.
Adhere to LEAN/Continuous Improvement principles.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
Previous experience in Inventory Control or warehouse management within a manufacturing
environment
Forklift Certification and demonstrated proficiency in forklift operation.
Successfully complete SAY Forklift Certification training
Excellent Communication Skills
Effective Planning Skills
Read and understand in English, system generated Work Orders and Work Instructions
Ability to lift 70 lbs.
Enthusiastic team player
Highly Detail Oriented
Problem Solver
Able to learn quickly and retain information
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing dynamics
Basic mathematical skills: Accurate Counting, Adding, Subtraction, Multiplication, and Division
Proven history of understanding Industry Safety Standards and Quality expectations
